10/10: Ball State Scores Late, Wins in OT

Coming off a sweep of the Cardinals, the Hoosiers looked to win their third straight over BSU in the past week. Ball State knew they would need a fast start to set the tone early, and that's exactly what they did.

Ball State jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, including a goal 20 seconds into the game.

Despite digging themselves a hole early, IU scractehed and clawed their way back into this game.

Fort Wayne native Tyler Eichsteadt scored his first of the season at the 10:40 mark, and Nick Kleva added his sixth of the season at the 16:15 mark to cut the lead to one after the first.

The Hoosiers came out in the second period and dominated the play, putting 20 shots on net. However, it would take until there were just 12 seconds left in the period for them to finally tie this one up, as Tyler Eichsteadt scored his second of the night.

Coming out of the locker room in the third period, Ball State kept their composure and evened out the playing field in a back and forth period.

16 scoreless minutes elapsed in the third until finally the tie was broken, and it was off the stick of Nick Kleva who scored his second of the night and seventh of the season to give the Hoosiers the lead with 3:33 remaining.

IU thought this one was over, but Ball State had other plans.

With just 5 seconds remaining, Ball State answered to knot this game up at 4, then at the 1:08 mark in overtime, sealed it with the game winner for their first ever win over Indiana.

10/11: IPFW Catches Fire, Scores 4 in 5 Min

Dissapointed after blowing a late lead Friday night, Indiana came out of the gates fast against IPFW scoring just a minute in to take a 1-0 lead. It was Nate Mika who scored his second goal of the season assisted by Nick Kleva and Danny Brogan.

A back and forth first period ended with the Hoosiers holding off the Mastadons, and taking the 1-0 lead into the locker room.

IPFW returned to the ice in the second period red hot, scoring 4 goals in a 5 minute span.

Ryan Santorsola would score at the 15:14 mark to cut the lead in half to two, but it wouldn't be enough.

Out of the gates in the third period IPFW would score again to make it 5-2, and that would be all the insurance they need. The Mastadons would add one more late to bring the score to a final of 6-2.

10/12: Boilermarkers Hold Off Hoosiers

The bitter rivalry that is Indiana and Purdue wrote another chapter on the ice in their first ICHC matchup, and it would be a memorable one.

It was a back and forth matchup that started with the Boilermarkers scoring two quickly to take a 2-0 lead. Before the period ended, the Hoosiers would respond by tying the game at 2 with goals from Cody Reiff and Nate Mika.

Purdue regained the lead in the second period to make it 3-2, and would never look back.

The Hoosiers controlled play the rest of the way out, but couldn't find the back of the net, falling at a final of 3-2.

Justin Madigan had the start for IU on Sunday, and was stellar making 39 saves.
